What do you like best about IFMA?

The very friendly and outgoing attitude of the group. Being new the mid-state, and IFMA, the group opened its door and allowed me to jump in.

Your first job?

In high school I work in an Italian bakery making bread, pizza, pasta and pastries (Yes, I am an earlier riser.) Professionally my first architecture position was with The Hillier Group in Clarks Summit, PA.

What do you like best about your current job?

In my current position I get to focus on relationship development and the long view of projects and business models for the benefit of all.

Best advice ever received:

Whether you think you can, or think you can't - You're right...Leadership is not pulling the cart up the hill so riders can see the struggle, but pushing from behind so that riders can enjoy the view.

Tell us about your family:

My wife and I have been together since Halloween 1999 and got married in 2011. She is a Professor of American Studies at Penn State Harrisburg and we have a 2 year old daughter.

Greatest personal achievement:

Graduating College, Passing the Architecture Registration Exam and the my relationship with my wife.

What do you do for fun?

I play tuba in the Mechanicsburg Singer Band and fix and restore antique and vintage motorcycles and automobiles. I have a 1930 Desoto and am currently working on a 1970 MG Midget.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:

In my mid-twenties I played bass in a cover band playing clubs, casinos, and corporate parties. I put 50,000 miles a year on my car driving from Boston to Key West and Atlantic City to Put-In-Bay, Ohio along with continuing my full time architecture career. If I look tired, it is still because of those years.
