What do you like best about IFMA?

Since I am new to the area, the interaction and conversation between members seems to be the greatest way to get to know Central PA. I am looking to take my FMP at some point in the near future and already Frank Antonucci and Paul Zito have reached out to assist in this process.

Your first job?

I played Professional Baseball with the Seattle Mariners for several years prior to working at Tecta America.

What do you like best about your current job?

The people I work with and what our company stands for. When I was on the Job search I wanted to find a company that I could fully buy into. In the Sales world, too many people just sell to sell. Coming from a baseball background, believing in the team or group I work with, is more important than any quick sale or short term success.

Best advice ever received:

When I was with the Mariners, our hitting coach Chris Chambliss told us, "Make sure when we come to work in the morning we punch in. I want you to give everything you got and make it a point to improve on something every single day. Whether the day turns into success or you go 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts, at the end of the day you punch out. Tomorrow's a new day with a new opportunity to get better." "Don't bring yesterday's success or failure into today."

Tell us about your family:

I was raised in West burke, Vermont, which is where my Mom (Lisa who is a Elementary School Physical Education Teacher and College Professor at Lyndon State College) and Dad (Ron who is a retired Superintendent of Schools) still live. My Brother (Ammon who works as an Accountant for FirstCo) and Sister-in-Law (Callyn who is a Chiropractor) live in Moline, Illionois. My Sister (Brianna who is a fashion designer) lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Greatest personal achievement:

I have two. Being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2010 and finishing my Business Adminstration Degree Online while playing with the Mariners.

What do you do for fun?

I love to golf, fish, hunt, and hike. Anything outdoors.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:

I got the opportunity to travel the world playing professional baseball this past year. I played in France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy from March-September 2012, Then I got to play winter baseball in Adelaide, Australia for 6 months from October 2012-March 2013.
