Owning, Designing and Living in a LEED Platinum Building

Presentation by:  Thomas Conley, Vice-President of Operations, LSC Design

Abstract:

In this presentation, we will discuss the experience designing, working in and operating a LEED Platinum building. We will hear first-hand experiences about what it means to occupy a LEED Platinum building, and what special considerations have to be taken into account during the design process that many other business model might not encounter. We will discuss why LSC Design chose to have their building LEED certified, and what it strategies were used to achieve Platinum certification. With a mix of storytelling and humor, this session will give perspective from the ownership, design and operations perspectives that can help influence future designs for LEED facilities.
