Representative Charlie Dent

Congressman Dent serves as the Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies. He is a Republican, representing the 15th District in Pennsylvania (much of the Lehigh Valley, along I78 to the eastern suburbs of Harrisburg). As Chairman of the Subcommittee, Congressman Dent has focused on the inefficiencies of VA construction. Representative Dent was unaware of IFMA, and the practice of facility management, until he spoke to us at our 2015 Advocacy Day in Washington, DC. After hearing about the practice of facility management, and the disconnect we often see between design, construction and maintenance, Congressman Dent decide to learn more about IFMA and ask for our help in some of his initiatives.

Join us on March 7 to engage with Congressman Dent and his staff on how IFMA, and our professional members, can help the Federal government, and the VA in particular, bridge the gap between facility management, design and construction. This is an outstanding opportunity to leverage our collective expertise and share our best practices with a current leader in the US House of Representatives. Come prepared to share your best practices on facility maintenance, design and construction.
