2nd Inning: SAFETY IS A TOOL FOR LIFE

Presenter: Motivational/Inspirational Speaker – Ronald Lee Goodrich

Managing the Boiler Department at McClure Company for the past 28 years, Ronald Goodrich has supervised the installation, repair and maintenance of large commercial/industrial boiler-burner systems.   Ron’s career began 43 years ago as a field technician with Honeywell Inc.   Since that time he has strove to give back to the community by teaching Boiler Services and Local #520 Union Apprenticeship classes including OSHA 10, OSHA 30 and Built Rite Safety.   A devastating accident early in his career has inspired him to speak at a multitude of events and communicate the importance of safety.   Ronald has been a honored keynote speaker for Merck, Turkey Hill/Kroger, TYCO Electronics, Play World Industries, AKZO Nobel, PPL Brunner Island, TALEN Energy, Lonza Chemical, NRG Energy,   Dominion Transmission, Anheuser-Bush and the 2013 Governors Health and Safety Conference, GE Global, etc.

About the Presentation:

While repairing a commercial heating system, Ron was accidentally electrocuted and badly burned from the arc flash of an electrical explosion. His lecture details a powerful personal account of the accident and how it affected every aspect of his personal and professional life for many years. During the presentation Ron stress the importance of avoiding false urgency and taking the proper safety precautions. NOTE: There will be some great points and thoughts for the Facilities Manager to take back to their WORK PLACES.
